Designer Mixed Breed · Alaskan Malamute x Siberian Husky · Arctic Power and Beauty
The Alusky is born from two great Arctic sled breeds: the Alaskan Malamute and Siberian Husky. The result is a high-energy, wolf-like companion built for cold climates and long-distance activity. Aluskies are loving with their families but demanding - not for first-time owners.
Pack-oriented, affectionate, and playful. Independent and not blindly obedient. Rarely aggressive but needs strong leadership.
Needs 90+ minutes of vigorous exercise daily. Built to run - bored Aluskies become destructive Aluskies.
Heavy blow coat twice yearly. Brush 3-4x weekly, daily during blow season. Never shave - double coat is insulation.
Both parents are independent. Aluskies are intelligent but not eager to please. Consistent positive reinforcement with high-value rewards.
Hardy and healthy overall. Hip dysplasia and eye conditions are main genetic concerns.
Feed the Alusky a high-quality, age-appropriate food suited to their size and activity.

Aluskies are among the most wolf-like domestic dog hybrids - people do double-takes seeing them.
Malamutes and Huskies are famous for howling and talking. Aluskies fully inherit this vocal personality.
